Saturday, September 06 / 1:00 - 5:00
In this 4-hour workshop, we’ll combine a few exercises from the workshop Taking Note: Creating Ourselves Through Journaling with adorning the front of our journals with collage. All collage materials are provided.
Also provided is one 5 × 8 inch blank Midori notebook from Japan:
176 pages
Threaded binding + bookmark string
Lies flat
Plain paper cover, perfect for collaging
In the first half of the workshop I’ll give a demonstration of how to affectively make and adhere a collage to the front of your journal, and you’ll have the run of my collection of collage images and glues to adorn the front of your new notebook.
In the second half we’ll do some journaling exercises to get you started in your new book. You’re welcome to keep collaging while I’m speaking, stopping to do the journaling exercises as they arise.
During the workshop, there is no need to share what you’ve written—unless you want to and it feels appropriate.
Limit: 8 people

“Today I attended a journaling and collage workshop by B.A. Lampman and it was everything I hoped for and more. Comfortable, inspiring, and rejuvenating for the ‘ol brain and heart. Highly recommended if you’re looking to kickstart some introspection and creativity”— Emilie Lindsay
